This fascinating group of galaxies is member of the so called "Virgo-Cluster of Galaxies". It is also known as "Markarian's chain". To see the string of galaxies - please make sure to view the large scale image provided as link above. Torsten Grossman imaged this group with a rather small telescope, that however, possesses a very keen optics. The acquired image data was fun to process. In a clear night you can spot this string of galaxies in a small telescope, even a bino-viewer should make a wonderful impressive image to look at. Click here for more information.
